Does anyone know if we need a consent form to hunt on private land when it isn't deer or turkey season? I know that it is required during these two seasons but I couldn't find another form from the DEP that covered the rest of the year.

I figured I would keep handwritten permission from the landowner on me, but I didn't know if there was an official form.

Thanks!

There are official forms that must be filled out when hunting deer & turkey, however IIRC it is not required for small game. The form is printable & on the DEP website.

It would be a good idea however, to have a signed form on you anyway though, would make for less hassle.

The only exemption I can think of, is family land (owned by immediate family). If the land is owned by your parents/grandparents/etc. written permission is no longer required.

It's been a while since I've looked this stuff up, so I'll have to doublecheck it for you.

No official form, you do need to have written permision from the landowner on your person
