Just got the rifle back from Henry.
They replaced the carrier and now it feeds fine.

However there is a small dent in the left side of the stock and nicks, scratches on the left side of the front forend strap.
WTF !??

Being that it's a brand new gun I sent it to Henry on thier nickel.
Let them deal with it.

I have a 38 / 357 Henry Big Boy lever gun and it mis-feeds. When it tries to lift a new round up to the chamber it cant because the next round in line has traveled too far past the carrier and jams up. I suspect the carrier is the problem. I am wondering if a newer firearm can be used with a pre December 31st. registered magazine?
I for one have certain hi-caps registered for firearms I may or may not even posses.

So if I went through the NFA BS and bought a full auto AR-15 / M-16 I could use mags I already have?
